The Government could not give us any assurances beyond
this point.
On the 8th December a representative of the Provin-
cial Government called at this office and notified us that
the whole Railway was properly guarded, and we maae an in-
spection of the line as far as Sam Chun on the 11th Decom-
ber and found everything in order and through traffic wan
resumed on the 14th December and has been maintained since.
Until the 14th instant it was impossible to resume
traffic as the present Government could not give us the
necossary assurance - therefore all claims which will have
to be discussed later on due to suspension of traffic
will be from 7th November to 14th December 1911.
We enclose you a list showing how the present Govern-
ment have distributed the soldiers along our Railway •
Yours faithfully,

Managing Director.
